Cycle along the disused railway track by the sea to San Remo, bathe in ice-cold mountain water pools, travel through the mountains to Piedmont to buy wine, and feast in quaint restaurants in the hinterland.
Holiday destination
Spacious neighborhood with villas, many of which are permanently occupied. There are many smaller beaches in Porto Maurizio, including ones with fine sand, which are however chargeable during the season.
Approximately 6 km away is the annually refurbished free beach of Porto Maurizio (sand and pebble) with showers, free parking, and numerous bars and restaurants nearby. Imperia is also a lively city outside of the season.
San Remo (about 25 km) and Monte Carlo/Monaco (about 50 km) are easily accessible. In the original hinterland, you can go hiking and indulge in local cuisine (around €30 all-inclusive), alpine ski lifts are reachable by car (60 km) and directly by train. The access to the house is paved (150 m to the provincial road), but partly steep. Shopping can be done on the way to the city.
Getting there
For your travel planning, here are the distances to the house: from Munich 820 km (Brenner) or 735 km (San Bernardino); from Bregenz approximately 550 km (San Bernardino); from Chiasso about 300 km; from Basel about 590 km. You drive past Milan towards Genova, turn off before Ventimiglia, and then it's about 90 km on the coastal motorway to Imperia, exit Ovest, which is the fastest, or Est, which takes you through the city. You will receive a detailed access description in advance.

Wir hatten eine wunderschöne Zeit im Ferienhaus.
Der Pool war für uns das absolute Highlight und wurde von uns ausgiebig genossen.
Gerade an heißen Tagen war es herrlich, sich dort abzukühlen und anschließend im traumhaften Garten Eden die Sonne zu genießen.
Im großen, gepflegten Ferienhaus findet jeder seinen Lieblingsplatz, selbst der Teenager.
Die ruhige Lage macht das Ganze perfekt für alle die Erholung und Abstand vom Alltag suchen.
Für uns war der Aufenthalt etwas ganz Besonderes.

Wo soll ich anfangen, wir waren so begeistert, dass es unmöglich ist nur einzelne Punkte zu nennen. Das Haus ist ein Traum und man sieht in jedem Detail, dass es der Zweitwohnsitz der Eigentümer ist. Alles ist liebevoll und stilvoll eingerichtet, es fehlt an nichts. Das einzige was zu tun bleibt, ist ankommen und wohlfühlen. Dazu tragen auch die, im Vorfeld der Reise, getätigten Informationen der Vermieter und natürlich die sehr liebe Kontaktperson vor Ort bei, die sich viel Zeit genommen hat uns alles zu zeigen und zu erklären. Das Haus ist anhand der Wegbeschreibung leicht zu finden und auch die letzte Auffahrt ist mit jedem "normalen" Auto gut zu bewältigen. Das Haus, der Garten, der Pool , alles da was man zu einem gelungenen Urlaub benötigt, samt grandioser Aussicht. Wir kommen wieder!
