Outstanding is of course the proximity to the castles Anebos (ruin), Neukastel (ruin), Trifels (Restored, but beautiful) and the Madenburg (ruin with restaurant).
For a little more hikes you can choose routes that are located at the huts of the Palatine Forest Association. There you can eat very cheaply Palatinate snacks: The huts are quite numerous available - you will always find one (Palatine do not go hungry while hiking :-))
In Landau (10km) there is a fun pool with indoor pool, cinemas, a zoo, a climbing gym and a reptile also a very nice weekly market (Tuesday and Saturday) and numerous shopping in the Gründerzeit embossed city center.
The Technikmuseum Speyer is also an option for bad weather days and the proximity to France you should use for a visit to the very beautiful workshop Weissenburg (about 30km). Beautiful destinations are also Speyer and Worms with their medieval cathedrals and old towns.
Also impressive is the French Citadel Bitsch (about 1 hour drive away) and of course Strasbourg with its beautiful old town and the cathedral (about 1.5 hours away).
Bathing lakes in the forest are Silz (very small) and Seehof Erlenbach, below the also beautiful castle Berwartstein (can be visited), in the middle of the forest.
There are other bathing lakes on the Rhine, direction Karlsruhe / Wörth. An Alsace visit can also be combined with a detour to the lake in Lauterburg.
Holiday destination
Enjoy the day on the sunny balcony while their children play - the dishes are the meantime done by the dishwasher.
Or simply walk directly from the house to the "Pfälzerwald" (Forest of Palatina), to visit the nearby castle of Trifels or to climb one of the many viewpoints. In the nearby Madenburg or the Asselstein hut, you can drink a glass of wine and enjoy the view.
Getting there
Our house is best reached by car.
By public transport you get to Leinsweiler, from there it is still about 1.5 km in the direction of the forest to the valley on the outskirts where our house is located.

Ein wunderschönes Häuschen mit einem herrlichen Ausblick auf den Pfälzer Wald und einem herrlichen Vogelkonzert gratis dazu ;-)
Auch die Ausstattung lässt keine Wünsche offen und man fühlt sich einfach nur wohl :-)
Ein perfektes Plätzchen zum erholen und entspannen.

Es waren schöne Tage in dem Häuschen !!! Es fehlte an nichts !!! Ich habe noch nie einen so schönen Sternenhimmel erlebt ! Vor Allem, das liebevolle Buch über den Gebrauch der verschiedenen Gerätschaften. Das schöne neue Bad, Ich kann es nur wärmstens empfehlen !!!
