Numerous museums exploring the history of the Normandy landings on Omaha beach are only a few hundred metres away from the house. The historical town of Bayeux is definitely worth a visit. The Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Bayeux is one of the most important sacred monuments in Normandy. The Bayeux Tapestry was made in the 11th Century and depicts important historical scenes. It is almost 70(!) metres in length and UNESCO has declared it a part of the World’s Cultural Heritage.
The breath-taking beaches of Omaha Beach stretch over more than 6 km. These beaches are perfect for rest and relaxation, but also offer a large selection of water sports for the more adventurous!
For little explorers, adventure awaits! On the beach of Ste. Honorine, the search for caves, sea life, fossils and sea shells guarantees hours of bliss. Young fishing enthusiasts make memories at the breakwater in Port-en-bessin or visit the mill museum in Bayeux.

In summer 2015 we took over "La Vallée" from my parents which has been dear to them since 1988. Welcome to "La Vallée"!

Wir waren zu dritt im Pavillion und sind noch heute, Wochen danach, sehr begeistert. Die Wohnung ist wunderschön restauriert und ausgebaut und es ist alles vorhanden, was man für einen gelungenen Urlaub braucht. Wir haben sehr viel Zeit im großen Garten verbracht, sind jeden Tag die wenigen Minuten zum Strand gelaufen und hatten eine sehr erholsame Woche in St. Honorine. Anika hat uns viel beraten und mit guten Tipps ausgestattet, sodass wir auch die schöne Umgebung haben genießen können.
Beim nächsten Besuch nehmen wir noch Fahrräder mit, dann ist man etwas mobiler.
Vielen Dank für diesen gelungenen Urlaub und Gratulation zu diesem Juwel, das ihr Euch dort geschaffen habt!

La Vallée ist ein sehr schöner und stimmungsvoller Ort! Das Unterkunftsgelände ist ruhig und von einem Tor umgeben innerhalb einer lauschigen, heimeligen Gegend mit netten kleinen Anwesen. Ein Naturstrand lädt zum Abendspaziergang ein. Es gibt Fahrradwege zu den Nachbarorten mit wunderbaren Ausblicken aufs Meer. Der Sonntags-Markt von Port-en-Bessin ist eine absolute Empfehlung - ebenso die Hafenbar. Sehr freundliche und hilfsbereite Vermietern.
