The enchanting spa town of Merano, with its famous thermal baths, the wonderful botanical garden and its numerous festivals of classical music and wine is only 4 kilometres away. The surrounding area offers many excursion destinations and hiking routes around the village of Scena,
The lifts of Meran2000, car-free Vigiljoch and the great Hirzer area are also close by.
Getting there
Coming from the Brenner Pass: Exit motorway Bolzano Sud, then immediately take the MEBO (Merano-Bolzano) highway - exit Merano Sud after about 30 km and then take the state road through the village of Sinich until you reach the roundabout. There you take the junction Schenna and after about 4km turn into the village Schenna. After another three kilometres, you will find Villa Alvarium on the left-hand side, behind a large gate, which is planted with Thuiles.

Wir haben uns in der Wohnung Alvarium 2 sehr wohl gefühlt. Die großen Glasfenster der Wohnung haben das Gefühl vermittelt draußen zu leben. Dieser Eindruck wurde noch durch die große vom Wohnraum aus zugängliche Terrasse mit dem Jacuzzi, den wir abends sehr genossen haben verstärkt.
Ein herzliches Dankeschön an Dr. Josef Gritsch für die schöne Zeit in seinem Appartement.
