In addition to the numerous recreational opportunities and rest, Podere Follona is an ideal starting point: Florence, Siena, Volterra, San Gimignano, Pisa, Grosseto and Massa Marittima are all nearby.
You can also make nice rounds on foot or by mountain bike.
Castiglione della Perscaia delights with its beautiful beaches, nice restaurants, the promenade and sunset, but also wineries like Mortelle or Rocca di Frasinello are nearby.
Getting there
Podere Follona is located in the Maremma between Caldana and Vetulonia (about 3km south of Caldana), surrounded by fields, pines and cork oaks. The 360 ° view is unique. The distance to the sea is about 14 km (Castiglione, Punta Ala). The house leads you to a unpaved, about 2km long gravel road.

Wir haben 10 Tage in der Casa Lena verbracht und unseren Herzensort gefunden. Wer Ruhe und Abgelegenheit sucht und sich einfach nur der wunderbaren Natur widmen möchte, ist hier richtig. Wir haben hier alles genossen und uns dem Nichtstun hingegeben, die Tage auf der wunderschönen Terrasse oder am erfrischenden, immer sauberen Pool verbracht. Die Casa Lena ist perfekt für 2 Personen, die Räume alle klimatisiert, was bei der Juli Hitze auch dringend nötig war. Es fehlt an nichts, es steht nirgendwo Klimbim rum und alles ist geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Wir wurden bei Ankunft mit einer selbstgemachten Minestrone und Brot empfangen. Dazu gab es Wasser und frisches Olivenöl aus eigener Herstellung. Wo gibt es sowas noch ? Herzlichen Dank an Ponke Thomas, diesen traumhaften Ort zu teilen. Wir kommen wieder!

Wer Ruhe und Idylle liebt ist hier perfekt aufgehoben. Podere Follona liegt auf einer Anhöhe mit wunderbarem Rundblick, Casa Lena ist bestens ausgestattet und wir haben uns sofort wohlgefühlt. Man kann einen angenehmen und ruhigen Tag am Pool verbringen oder ist recht schnell in Castiglione della Pescaia am Meer mit seinen Stränden. Das Städtchen Castiglione della Pescaia hat sehr schöne Restaurants und man kann dort am Abend sehr schöne Stunden verbringen. Die Kommunikation mit Frau Ponke Thomas vor und nach unserem Urlaub war ausgezeichnet, die Betreuung vor Ort durch Rita perfekt. Wir können Podere Follona nur empfehlen und kommen jederzeit gerne wieder.
