The local recreation area around the Vechte (lake) and the zoo can be perfectly explored by food. The city centre with various shopping facilities can be reached in ca 15 minutes. The water city Nordhorn offers a lot for cultural lovers for example museums, cultural events and exhibitions. There are also well connected cycling paths with a lot of signed bike tours. Ideal starting point for day trips to Amsterdam and to the East Frisian Islands.

The "Seepark" is not found on each maps in the internet and navigation system yet. The entrance to the "Seepark" can be reached from the "Frensdorfer Ring".
