Port Nou's surroundings are ideal for people who like the beach, but also for mountainlovers. And especially with dogs you're lucky, because the Sierra de Irta is next door. And yet Peñíscola 's town centre, with its supermarkets, bars and restaurants are within walking distance. And you can make a lot of interesting excursions, for instance to the medieval town of Morella, to San Mateo or, of course, to Valencia.
Getting there
The airport of Castellón is very near, but also Reus (Tarragona) , or Valencia are close. Peñíscola has a train station ( Benicarló-Peñíscola) where the international trains (from Paris, Perpignan) also stop. If you come by car you can taken de AP 7, exit 43.
