Portovaltravaglia is a small, tranquil town (about 2400 inhabitants) on the eastern shore of central Lake Maggiore. It features an old town center with narrow alleys and a plane tree-lined lakeside promenade with a small marina, playground, and pebble beach. Nearby is Luino with its famous weekly market (on Wednesdays) and Laveno with a cable car up to Sasso del Ferro.

Arriving by car from the north:
• Highway via Gotthard or San Bernardino to the exit "Bellinzona-Sud", then take N13 towards Locarno / Lago Maggiore
• Drive along the eastern shore road of Lago Maggiore, crossing the border at Zenna and through Luino to Porto Valtravaglia
• After entering the town, the road makes a slight right turn
• After the right turn, take the first cross street on the left into Via Roma (one-way street, directly opposite the supermarket)
• The tobacco shop (Bar-Ricevitoria) is located after about 70m on the right side at the first shops

Host informationThe house belongs to the Obwegeser family from Zurich (Jörg and Tine with Kathrin, Carla, and Luisa). We used to spend practically all our holidays at Villa Altipiano. Since the children have grown up and are also interested in other holiday destinations, the house is not used as often as before. To ensure that Villa Altipiano does not remain empty, the lower apartment is rented out. We are pleased to be able to offer this extraordinary holiday home to others as well.

Jährlich geniessen wir einen Aufenthalt in der Ferienwohnung "Villa Altipiano". Wir schätzen die ruhige Lage, den wunderbaren Ausblick, den tollen Garten mit Pool und die Sauberkeit der Wohnung.
Dieses Jahr wurden wir mit zwei Neuerungen überrascht: Es gab ein neues Doppelbett aus Holz mit bequemen Matratzen und der Pool wurde saniert.
Wir hatten sonniges und sehr heisses Wetter. In der Ferienwohnung (ohne Klimaanlage) war es jedoch immer angenehm kühl, was ihrer ebenerdigen Lage zu verdanken ist. Der Kontakt mit den Besitzern gestaltet sich immer als sehr unkompliziert und wir kommen gerne wieder.

Wir möchten die Fewo wärmstens weiterempfehlen. Besonders wegen dem schönen Ausblick und dem riesigen Pool. Da die Vermieter nicht da waren, hatten wir das Anwesen für uns alleine.
Grundstück: sehr ruhig, 2 überdachte Parkplätze, Anfahrt mit großem Auto problemlos möglich
Fewo: geräumig und sehr gut ausgestattet
Küche: viel Geschirr, Geschirrtücher, Gewürze, Alufolie. Für den Gasherd sind funktionierende Feuerzeuge empfehlenswert.
Bad: modern, große Dusche
Schlafzimmer: viel Stauraum. Doppelbett besteht aus zwei Einzelbetten. Betten werden selbst überzogen. Bettwäsche kann geliehen werden.
Kinderzimmer: Könnte man eventuell etwas gemütlicher gestalten.
Garten: sehr privat, kaum einsichtig, Essbereich jederzeit angenehm schattig, Tischtennisplatte, Grill, 4 Liegen, Tisch, 7 Stühle, Wäscheständer

Das Bett im Schlafzimmer wurde neu (inkl. Matratzen) mit einem Doppelbett ersetzt.
