Die Burg von Barattano ist eine beeindruckende und charmante Unterkunft in einer ebenso charmanten Umgebung. Der Ausblick vom Pool auf die umbrische Landschaft ist atemberaubend. Und wer kann behaupten in einer Burg aus dem 13. Jahrhundert zu wohnen. Fabrizio ist ein sehr freundlicher und hilfsbereiter Mann und man merkt ihm an, dass diese Freundlichkeit auch von Herzen kommt. Ein Stromausfall hat uns einen Tag überrascht. Aber auch hier waren sofort Techniker am Werk und haben das Problem behoben. Insgesamt waren wir aber sehr zufrieden.

Das Castello wirkt auf den 1. Blick natürlich sehr toll.
Der Charm der alten Gemäuer erfüllt mit Staunen.
Auch das es einen Pool mit grandiosem Ausblick gibt ist sehr gewinnend.
Leider verliert es all das zunehmend. Bei nähern Betrachten wirkt alles verwahrlost und ungepflegt. Abfall liegt herum. In der Bar seit Tagen das ungewaschene Geschirr. Im Zimmer Lurch unter all den Möbeln. Die Duschkabine kaputt. Küchengeschirr eher dürftig. Schneidbrett haben wir uns organisiert, Geschirrtuch hatte ich Gott sei Dank mit.
Der Ort ist sehr ruhig und man kann durchaus entspannen wenn das Wetter passt. Im Zimmer selbst ist der Aufenthalt eher deprimierend da es dunkel und drückend ist. Kaum ein liebevolles oder einladendes Detail. Nur in der Nacht ist es von den Beleuchtungsstrahlern von Außen hell, sodass man die Fenster schließen muss uns so nicht in den Vorteil der kühlen Nacht kommt.
Schade, mit ein bisschen liebevoller Zuwendung und Pflege wäre es ein Kleinod.
Wir werden den Aufenthalt vorzeitig abbrechen, auch wenn der Preis mit €49 pro Nacht den Umständen entspricht. Wir fühlen uns nicht wohl.
Die ital. Gastfreundschaft haben wir nicht bemerkt.
Mit Sesseln auf allen Tischen wurde es uns vermiest unser Abendessen in der kleinen Bar zu gestalten. Wir waren dort immer allein.
Wirklich schade um diesen Ort.
