The apartment is located in a peaceful residential area of Izola, slightly uphill and close to the coast. Simonov Zaliv Beach, one of Izola’s most popular beaches, is about a 10-minute walk away. Restaurants, cafés, shops, and the town centre are also within easy reach. The area is a great starting point for exploring Izola, coastal walking paths, and nearby towns such as Koper, Piran, and Portorož.
Getting there
The closest airport to Koper is Friuli-Venezia Giulia airport, in Ronchi dei Legionari. The biggest city on the way from airport to Koper is Trieste, which is 33 km from the airport. The Taxi service is available from 8 a.m. to midnight in front of the Arrivals exit. The ride to Trieste city, depending on traffic and luggage, will cost approximately 50 €. Going directly to Koper would cost between 90 and 130 €, depending on the time of your arrival and your negotiating skills. From Koper you have local buses to all parts of Slovenian coast towns and villages. You can check the timetable once you arrive to the main bus and train station.
