Excursions to Lugano, Ascona, Locarno, Stresa, and from Laveno by car ferry to the places Intra-Verbania, Lake Orta, and Stresa are possible from Muceno. From there, you can also visit the Botanical Gardens of Villa Taranto and the Borromean Islands.

Holiday destination

The wonders of Lake Maggiore are many, from the nearby Luino with its famous market every Wednesday, or along the lake towards Luino, Maccagno, and on the opposite side Cannero, Ghiffa. Pallanza and Verbania are known for their gardens, not to forget the Villa Taranto Botanical Park, the beautiful and famous Borromean Islands, Stresa, Arona with its huge statue of San Carlo, which you can climb inside. Angera and its castle are also worth a visit. A visit is definitely recommended to the neighboring Switzerland, Lugano and the lake, Morcote and Carona, or the typical landscapes of Ticino.

Trotz ziemlich bescheidener Anreise durch die Schweiz, Kommunikationsproblemen auf unserer Seite und stark verspäteter Ankunft, hat Raphaella alles sehr gut für uns gemanaged. Danke! Die Wohnung besitzt einen wunderschönen Ausblick und ist ideal für Ausflüge nach Laveno (Seilbahn), um per Autofähre nach Verbania (botan. Garten) und von dort zum Mergozzo-See (Baden) oder dem Monte Rosa Gletschergebiet (Seilbahn + Wandern) zu gelangen. In nördlicher Richtung lässt es sich gut am Lido Gerda, Maccagno oder Laghetto Astano baden. Die Goldmine auf schweizer Seite haben wir leider verpasst. Die Fewo ist sehr gut ausgestattet + gewartet, Betten + Couch sind gut bis noch ok. V. a. die Schlafzimmer benötigen eine lange Belüftung - damit ist der Muff schnell verflogen - Duftstäbchen sind nicht jedermanns Sache.

Wir haben in der Ferienwohnung 2 wunderschöne Wochen verbracht. Eine sehr gut eingerichtete Ferienwohnung mit allem was man braucht. Küche hat wirklich alles was man braucht. Die Wohnung hat eine Terrasse, welche überdacht ist und wir haben 14 Tage nur draußen gegessen. Der Blick von der Terrasse ist unbeschreiblich und ich werde ihn vermissen. Zum Strand ist man in ein paar Minuten mit dem Auto, es gibt immer Parkplätze. Die Betreuung durch den Vermieter ist supiiii nett,freundlich und man hat immer die Nummer, wenn mal was ist.Wir können die Wohnung nur weiterempfehlen. Germinaga ist ein verschlafenen italienischen Städtchen, aber gleich daneben ist luino. Mittwochs gibt es dort einen traumhaften großen Markt durch die ganze Stadt. Und es gibt ringsum so viel zu entdecken. Es war wunderschön, danke.
