Our holiday home has 3 flats; in 2014 we built a 2nd apartment on the 1st floor (accessible via a wide staircase),
rustic yet contemporary. Cosiness and comfort were our primary concern here too.
In June, the German Tourism Association (DTV) awarded the flat 4 stars.
Feel at home in the large, open living area with fireplace, television armchair, fold-out sofa, seating corner, fitted kitchen, laminate flooring and a new shower room (added in May 2017).
On the large roof terrace or balcony, you can enjoy the mountain view - both are part of this flat only.
Dogs can frolic behind the house, and there's also a seating area.
Our place is an ideal starting point for cycling and hiking tours, sightseeing and a recreational time with all the comforts you can wish for.

New windows and a new balcony door in the bedroom (with soundproof glass) and a modern shower room was added in 2017.
Behind the house is a seating area and dogs have space to run - the backyard will be fenced in 2018.
We can accommodate up to 10 guests by combining flat 1, 2 and 3.
Relax in Schwangau's hot spring (Königliche Kristall-Therme).
Neuschwanstein Castle and Hohenschwangau, the famous Wies Church and Füssen are only a 10-km drive away.
Linderhof Palace and Ettal Abbey are approx. 40 km away.
Oberammergau and Austria can be reached in about 30 minutes by car.
To get to Augsburg or Munich, you have to drive 80 km.
Mountains - castles/palaces - lakes, there truly is something for everyone.
Halblech is located at the foothills of the Allgäu Alps, a slightly hilly region, where less sporty tourists will also find hiking and cycling opportunities in the flatter sections.
Some of the highlights such as the royal castles, Wies Church or the Forggensee are only about 10 km away.
The village Buching -2 km- has a chairlift.
In the winter, you'll find groomed cross-country ski trails in Buching and at the Tegelberg mountain - as well as smaller alpine ski runs. H
Take the A7 until you reach the end of the motorway, then continue towards Füssen - Schwangau - Buching - Halblech, the village entrance Halblech behind the
inn 'Gasthof Adler', on the main road turn left onto the Schleifmühlweg, then the next street on the right, straight ahead to the parking spot in the courtyard in front of the fence.

In 2014 we were able to purchase this smaller flat in the same house. We, our girls and our Newfoundland dog feel at home here in the Ostallgäu, where we spend our holiday, and love the wide range of leisure opportunities.
