Other recreational opportunities
If you don't want to hike, you have other options and can also reach the lake in no time (15 minutes by car to Menaggio) or Lake Lugano in Porlezza. There you will find beaches, water sports, boat rentals, culture, shops, ferries to Bellagio and Varenna, etc.
The tennis court is a 5-minute drive from the house and the golf course is 10 minutes away by car.
Holiday destination
The surroundings are stunningly beautiful. Hiking enthusiasts will be in their element here, whether in Val Sanagra or the mountains (Monte Grona). Naggio is a medieval village; you can park at the church and walk to the house. Luggage is transported by wheelbarrow or, on request, by a small tractor.
There are excellent shopping facilities 3 km away (very nice alimentari) and the large supermarkets in Carlazzo are just a few minutes away by car.
Getting there
It makes sense to travel to Naggio by car. We occasionally use public transport via Lugano, but we have e-bikes available on site.
The easiest route is via San Bernardino or the eastern Swiss passes. It is best to avoid the San Gottardo (tunnel) unless you are traveling at night.
If you come from Milano airport your Holiday starts travelling via Como along the lake, just beautiful!
