The Gulf of Baratti–Populonia has a beautiful sandy beach, clear seawater, and pine forests. Along the gulf, you can find the excavations of an Etruscan necropolis. On the hill above the gulf lies the medieval village of Populonia, offering breathtaking views of the sea.
Below Populonia, on the opposite slope, there is a beautiful rocky beach and a nature trail that runs along the coast all the way to Piombino. Nearby, there is a long sandy beach with a natural reserve that stretches to San Vincenzo, which can also be comfortably explored by bicycle.
