Other recreational opportunities
Day trips to Paris by train, ferries to Guernsey, Jersey and the Isles de Chaussey are all possible, as are guided tours of the D-day beaches. For the children there is a great Zoo (Champetres), the Forest Adventure at St.Sauveur le Vicomte or Festyland at Caen amongst many other attractions (corn maze,miniature train, Cité de la mer at Cherbourg).
Holiday destination
Our cottage La Cale (The Slipway) is the closest holiday cottage to the Nature reserve, dunes and beach of Glatigny. The national park is protected and undeveloped and even in summer the beaches remain uncrowded, and are safe for swimming and paddling. Dogs are allowed on the beach all year round, and you can spot wild flowers and rare birds. We even have room for you to park your boat, or can arrange grazing nearby if you would like to bring your horses.
Getting there
We are based in the La Manche penisular of Normandy , about 40km south of Cherbourg on the West coast, almost directly opposite to Jersey. When you get to our village (50250 Glatigny), take the road from La Haye du Puits-Bolleville towards the D650 coastal road. We are the last house on the right on the junction of the road that leads to the beach. The google-map below shows our exact location with a green arrow - you can zoom out with the minus button to get a better idea of where we are on the peninsular.

Für uns als Familie war es die perfekte Unterkunft. Die Ausstattung liess keine Wünsche offen.Auch unsere Hunde haben sich im komplett umschlossenen Garten sehr wohlgefühlt. Fanny ist sehr, sehr freundlich und hat uns allerlei Tipps gegeben, sei es für Veranstaltungen als auch das ausprobieren von Cidre :)
.Zu guter letzt, ja das Haus liegt an einer gut befahrenen Strasse, uns hat es jedoch nicht gestört weil alles andere wirklich super gepasst hat.( Auch der Weg zum Meer ist ziemlich kurz)

Ein sehr schön ausgestattetes Haus in dem wir uns sehr wohlgefühlt haben. Das Haus ist liebevoll eingerichtet und alles war sehr sauber. Wir würden mit einem netten Korb mit Köstlichkeiten und Hinweisen zu Unternehmungen empfangen. Der wunderschöne Strand ist fußläufig erreichbar. Der Garten ist komplett eingezäunt somit auch für Hunde oder kleinere Kinder geeignet.
Das Haus liegt nahe einer Hauptstraße (so wie auf dem Google Link erkennbar), uns hat es nicht gestört; weil alles andere wirklich genau gepasst hat.
