Sestino in Montefeltro, a small medieval town on the northeast corner of Tuscany, bordering the Marche and Emilia Romagna, 40 km from the ancient university town of Urbino, 50 km from San Marino and about 1 hour from the Adriatic coast. "La Casaccia", about 1.5 km from the town center is situated on a hill surrounded by woods and fields and has a wonderful view to the Sasso Simone. Walks in the surrounding area, excursions in the nature park of Sasso Simone and Simoncello or in the Alpe della Luna, daily trips to the sea as well as many small and big towns which invite for a visit. The local cuisine is known for its truffles and "tagliata”.

Das Haus hat eigentlich eine schöne Alleinlage, aber es liegt auch in einem Tal, so dass sich hier die Feuchtigkeit den ganzen Tag über hält (auch wegen des Baches). Am Abend ist die Sonne schon früh hinter dem Berg verschwunden, was sehr schade ist. Das Haus ist klamm, kalt und muffig, in den Küchenschränken kann man den Schimmel nicht nur riechen sondern auch sehen. Nichts für Menschen mit empfindlichen Atemwegen! Wir sind hier richtig krank geworden.Leider hat die Vermieterin auf unsere Kritik null reagiert und so getan als wäre es unsere Einbildung. Dabei sind wir sehr entgegengekommen gewesen: sie war verreist und ihr Hund ist in unbemerkt in unsere Küche gelaufen und hat unsere Vorräte gefressen. Ein Armutszeugnis.
