It is also an ideal base for excursions. One can easily visit the Borromean Islands, Varese, Milan, Intra, Stresa, Lugano, Locarno and many other destinations. Porto's train station offers connections to Milan and Varese.
The small, romantic village Portovaltravaglia is situated on the Lago Maggiore, 5 km south of Luino and approx. 20 min. by car from the Swiss border Ponte Tresa. It boasts a harbour, small shops, a Supermercato, bars and restaurants.
Portovaltravaglia is an ideal starting point for trips to the neighbouring cities such as Luino, Varese, Milan, Lugano or to the Borromean Islands.
The house is situated slightly above Porto Valtravaglia, a quiet location with a magnificent view of the lake and mountains. The town Luino is approx. 5 km away, and the Swiss border approx. 20 km.

an unilateral statement without being charged a cancellation fee;
up to 8 weeks prior to arrival: 50% of the total booking price;
up to 4 weeks prior to arrival: 80% of the total booking price;
up to 1 week prior to arrival: 100% of the booking price.
We recommend that you take out cancellation insurance!
In case we are successful in re-letting the accommodation, we charge 20% of the booking price as a compensation for additional expenses.
