Other recreational opportunities
Because of its unique location in the Salzkammergut at the north edge of the Alps the Attersee offers a wide range of leisure activities. You can use the lake for swimming, diving, sailing and fishing. The foothills of the Alps allow stunning hiking tours through the mountains. Especially the 46 km long route around the Attersee makes beautiful biking trips possible. In some parts you can even find seperate bicycle lanes. Furhtermore there is a golf course within a distance of 500 m from the holiday appartment. Day trips to Salzburg (45 minutes by car) and Linz (60 minutes by car) are possible. Also the wourld-famous Hallstatt can be reached within 1 hour by car. On rainy days you can visit the ice caves of the Dachstein or one of the salt pits in the region. For some wellness you can also enjoy the spas of Bad Ischl and Schallerbach.
Holiday destination
The centre of Nussdorf, where you can find a range of restaurants, cafés and bars, can be reached within ca. 10 minutes by foot. There is also located a small supermarket, a bakery and a souvenirshop, where you can by the most necessary. You can find larger groceriy stores (Hofer and Spar) and a drugstore (DM) in St. Georgen close to the highway A1 (ca. 10 minutes by car from the appartment). The public sunbathing area at the shore of the lake is only 500 m behind the centre of the village. Restaurants, cafés and public toilets are availeble.
Getting there
From the highway A1 take the exit "St. Georgen im Attergau", then turn left (direction: Attersee), after 2,5 km go right at the T-junction (direction: Nussdorf). You are going to reach Nussdorf after 3,5 km. At the beginning of the village is a gas station of BP located. Just after this gas station turn right. Take the next street to your left (its called Kapellenweg), then take the next to your right (Badergasse) and turn right for another time (Oberdorf). Follow this street and, after the left turn, go right (Sonnleiten). The house is located to your right after a few meters.

Host informationMy partner, Gerhard, grew up in Nussdorf am Attersee and is thus connected to this place in a special way. Since 2014 we are living together in a small town close to Frankfurt. We would like to let his house at the Attersee to guests coming to Austria, so that they can get to know and love this lovely region, as we do.

Ein tolles Haus mit super Ausstattung und für unseren Familienurlaub mit 5 Erwachsenen ideal. Alles sehr sauber und mit Liebe ausgestattet. Der Ausblick aus allen Schlafzimmern und dem Wohn/Esszimmer ist ein Traum. Die Terrasse muss zu einer wärmeren Jahreszeit ein Traum sein. Die Schlafzimmer und ein Badezimmer liegen im 1.OG sind über eine Treppe erreichbar- die auch von älteren Personen gut gegangen werden kann. Das Badezimmer mit Dusche und Badewanne und die Küche sind überdurchschnittlich. Das ganze Ambiente ist sehr gehoben. Reichlich Stauraum in Schränken, offen begehbarer Kleiderschrank und Kommoden ist vorhanden. Zusätzlich ist ein Wohlfühlen durch eine liebevolle Grundausstattung garantiert. Das habe ich noch in keiner Wohnung so erlebt. Am Haus gibt es eine Doppelgarage. Spitze 5 STERNE !!!!

Wie immer haben wir den Jahreswechsel am Attersee verbracht und unseren Aufenthalt im Traumhaus sehr genießen können. Es ist alles vorhanden, was man sich nur wünschen kann, wir freuen uns schon auf unseren nächsten Aufenthalt!
