On foot or by mountain bike: olive groves, vineyards, forests... and enjoy the morning or evening atmosphere. You can also take a nice walk to the charming village of Caldana, which takes about 30-40 minutes.

Getting there
Podere Follona is located in the Maremma between Caldana and Vetulonia (approx. 3 km south of Caldana), surrounded by fields, pine trees, and cork oaks. The 360° view is unique. It is approx. 14 km to the sea (Castiglione, Punta Ala). An unpaved gravel road approx. 2km long leads to the house.

Insgesamt waren wir zu 5 Personen und hatten Casa Serena mit Casa Felicitas verbunden. Die Anlage ist unschlagbar. Ein sehr gepflegter Pool mit Liegen und Sonnenschirmen bietet sowohl Schatten- als auch Sonnenplätze. Rund ums Haus findet man zu jeder Tageszeit ein passendes Plätzchen in Sonne oder Schatten, wie es beliebt. Die Wohnungen haben eine tolle und vollständige Ausstattung und trotzdem wurden wir mehrfach gefragt, ob uns was fehlt. Rita, die mit Fiorenzo das Haus und das Grundstück pflegt, hat mit uns an einem Abend Pizza im Holzofen gebacken. Vielen Dank nochmal, es war ein Genuss. Wir konnten im Sonnenuntergang vor dem Haus Boccia spielen und hatten ständig Freude an der Natur. Es wurden in unserer Woche viele schöne Erinnerungen erzeugt, wir kommen wieder.

Wir schätzten besonders die geräumige Terrasse unter den malerischen Arkaden, die wir für jede unserer Mahlzeiten genossen haben - besonders abends, wenn der Mond idyllisch über die Hügel wanderte. Für unsere Tochter war allerdings der Pool das Highlight des gepflegten, weitläufigen Anwesens. Von dort aus hatten wir die herrlichsten Ausblicke auf nahe und ferne Ort- und Landschaften. Auch viele Tiere haben wir auf Podere Follona gesehen: Fuchs & Hase, Schwalbe & Wiedehopf (mit Nachwuchs) sowie die Terrassenlicht liebenden Geckos. Neben diesem traumhaften Ambiente erlebten wir beste Betreuung durch die Vermieterin Frau T. und die gute Seele des Hauses: Rita mit ihrem Mann. All dies schenkte uns zwei unvergessliche Wochen, die wir unbedingt wieder erleben wollen: das Suchtpotenzial ist toskanisch hoch!
