Trier is Germany's oldest city. It is a mere 20 minutes away from us by car, and the city is well-known for its sights, such as the world-famous Porta Nigra. The Triolago leisure lake and the Bostalsee invite you for a swim, waterski or a sail on the pedalo.
Around Farschweiler there are several prime hiking routes (Traumschleifen) for you to discover.
Holiday destination
On foot, Birkenhof is 10 minutes from the village of Farschweiler. This is where you will find a well-stocked Edeka supermarket where you can buy fresh baked goods daily. Farschweiler also has a playground, a boule field, and a water-treading pool. The Römer-Kelten-Pfad is a dream of a circular route that starts right here in Farschweiler.
Birkenhof is also the home of 2 cats, four horses, two rabbits, and a dog. However none of these go anywhere near the holiday flat.

Die Unterkunft hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Es war wahnsinnig viel Platz und die Sauna war Luxus pur.
Man konnte in der Umgebung Vieles unternehmen oder einfach die ruhige Umgebung mit Blick auf Pferde ,Wald und Weite genießen.
Zudem waren die Vermieter sehr freundlich und stets für Fragen offen.
