Cycling is very popular along the Versilia coast, whether it's to the beach, for shopping, or to visit other coastal towns like Marina di Massa, Marina di Pietrasanta, and Lido di Camaiore. Perhaps even the bustling little port city of Viareggio, 20 km away, with its large shipyards where huge luxurious yachts are built that can be admired in the marina.
The nearby Apuan Alps offer numerous hiking trails with magnificent sea views.
Holiday destination
The kilometer-long sandy beach can be reached with a short walk. There, you'll find beach baths of all price ranges and, of course, free sections of the beach. A larger free beach section is about 200 meters away.
The very charming small town of Cinquale with shops, ice cream parlors, restaurants, and cafes is located between Forte dei Marmi and Marina di Massa.
The center of Forte dei Marmi, the most exclusive location on the coast, is about 3 km away. Here, upscale designer stores line up and there is a golf course. The small town of Massa has a lovely old town and is about 4 km away. The enchanting small town of Pietrasanta, famous for its marble artists, is about 8 km away, Lucca 35 km, Pisa 40 km, Florence 100 km, and the famous marble quarries of Carrara about 25 km.
Getting there
Take the A11 Firenze/Livorno motorway to the Massa/Montignoso exit. Shortly after the exit, turn right towards Mare/Marina di Massa, until you reach the beach road after about 1 km. Turn left here and drive for about 5 km to Cinquale. Villa Mare is at Via Giulio Cesare No. 3.

Gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis, schöne und ruhige Lage, freundlicher Service, gut gepflegte Einrichtungen. Allerdings ist die Zimmergröße klein, die Frühstücksoptionen sind begrenzt und es gibt nur wenige Parkplätze.
