Throughout the year you can taste excellent truffle, to which is dedicated the Fair of White Truffle in the month of October, which has become national since 2013. As a drink, cannot miss a glass of Pergola DOC, a wine of ancient origins which in 2005 gained the registered designation of origin in its versions of red wine, young wine and passito. During the last weekend of July takes place in the historical centre of the town the Wine Festival with tastings, open cellars, entertainment, music and lots of fun. Another typical local product is Vino di Visciole (Sour Cherry Wine), also known as Visner, Visciolì or Visciolata. During the days before the Immaculate Conception another great event enliven the historic centre: the Christmas CioccoVisciola. It is a festival dedicated both to chocolate and visciolata with exhibitors of high quality chocolate products, Christmas pastries, Visciolata and many street shows to entertain the visitors. In the month of August local organisations organise the Medieval evening event, with taverns set up according to the style of that period, parades, battles, scenes of medieval life and travelling shows.
Holiday destination
Nearest town is Pergola, placed on the merging of the rivers Cesano and Cinisco, not far away from the breathtaking Catria Mountain (Monte Catria, 1702m). It is a marvelous little city in the heart of the region le Marche surrounded by rivers, green hills, mountains and an unpolluted and variegated nature. Main attractions within 100 Km are Urbino, Grotte di Frasassi, Marotta, Senigallia, Corinaldo, Mondavio, Fano, Cagli.

Die Villa in den Marken ist ein Traum. Der Service vor Ort, das eingezäunte Grundstück und auch die Inneneinrichtung ist Klasse. Alles sauber, neu und sehr liebvoll eingerichtet. Das riesige Grundstück ist komplett eingezäunt, so dass unser Hund sich in Ruhe austoben konnte. Pool und Garten sind sehr gepflegt. In den Morgenstunden kam der Gärtner, den wir in 14 Tagen kein einziges Mal zu Gesicht bekommen haben. Das Haus ist nicht ganz günstig, aber wer Ruhe und Erholung sucht, ist hier genau richtig. Einzig die Umgebung war nicht so ganz nach unseren Vorstellungen. Aber das ist ja jedem selbst überlassen.
