Villa Torre is an old farmhouse very close to the village of Ripatransone, in the south of the Marche region.
The property extends along the side of a hill, surrounded by olive trees, vineyards and fields, with a wonderful view over the surrounding countryside, from the Adriatic Sea to the Sibillini Mountains, with the historic village of Ripatransone behind it. Ripatransone is surrounded by an ancient curtain wall and within its historic centre boasts building from the Middle Ages, Renaissance and Baroque: the Cathedral, the Sanctuary of the Madonna di San Giovanni, the Palazzo Comunale, the Palazzo del Podestà, the Mercatini Theatre. The town is located in a so scenic position as to deserve the nickname "Overlook of Piceno". It is famous for its very narrow street: the "Italian narrowest alley", only 43 centimetres wide!
The typical dishes of this area are flavoured with extra virgin olive oil and tasted with DOC wines such as Falerio dei Colli Ascolani and the Rosso Piceno Superiore.
Other small and charming villages nearby are: Offida, Ascoli Piceno, Acquaviva Picena and Fermo.
The Adriatic coast is only a 10 minutes drive and offers kilometers of promenade called "Riviera delle Palme", between the towns of Cupra Marittima, Grottammare and San Benedetto del Tronto; with beaches of very fine golden sand, shallow water, many bars and restaurant for a lively nightlife. Moreover a convenient cycle path allows you to enjoy the panorama and go through the 10 thematic gardens located along the coast.
