Popular destinations are as Gsieser Almweg 2000 were rustic alpine huts, Dolomitenpanoramaweg in Monguelfo, Taistner Alm, mountain inn with petting zoo Mudler, Braies Lake, Three Peaks, Fischleintal in Sexten, Lake Antholz and the Staller Sattel, ... Enjoy the barefoot walk Rudlbach. Directly from our farm you can hike to Pyramidenkneippweg in Taisten. A special experience with circulation activating treading water and walking barefoot.
Getting there
By car via the Brenner highway (A22):
On the Brenner highway (A22) travel towards South Tyrol, take exit Brixen/Pustertal. Follow the road for about 44 km und take the exit “Welsberg West”. Make a left turn at the exit and follow the state road to Taisten. (*) After you reach the village center of Taisten drive past the grocery store “Conad”. Continue straight ahead and follow the signs “Mahrhof”. After about 2 km you reach the “Mahrhof”.
Travelling by car via Lienz in East Tyrol (A):
Cross the Austrian-Italian border, follow the state road (SS49-E66) and after approx. 20 km take the right exit “Welsberg Ost”. Drive through Welsberg village and turn right at the end of the village going in the direction of Taisten.

Mahrhof provided a perfect base and a gateway to explore the south tyrolean area of the Dolomites. The appartments have beautiful, extensive views over the mountains in the region and all are within a short drive. The accommodation is of high class, clean, well appointed and the friendly hosts Michaela and Andreas and family made us feel very welcome in their appartments. We appreciated greatly the fresh milk, butter, eggs and bread available each day during our stay. We recommend the Mahrof appartments very highly and will remember our time there for a long time.

Tolle Ferienwohnung in einem neu erbauten Haus im Tiroler Stil, modern ausgestattet und sehr gepflegt; in den Wiesen oberhalb von Welsberg-Taisten ruhig gelegen mit einem Traumblick ins Tal und auf auf viele Dolomiten-Gipfel und den Kronplatz; sehr nette und hilfsbereite Vermieter; einfach absolut zu empfehlen
