The Holiday Apartment

Old stonehouse, restored by an architect, on the highest point of a small panoramic village on a 1,200 foot elevation, commanding a spectacular view of the rolling hills south-east of Lake Trasimeno and the Apennine mountains beyond them, situated between Perugia (15 km) and Trasimeno Lake (5 km). Ground floor apartment (75 m²) with kitchen (big fire place!), two combined living/bedrooms, a separate bedroom, bath, shower and WC. Enjoy romantic sunsets over the Trasimeno Lake from the large terrace or dining at the big wooden table in the romantic garden. Relax somewhere in the sun or shadow between olive trees, laurel, oleander and lavender or just step out of the house to have the magnifical round-view from the Castle even until Assisi!

Special features

The house is situated in a lovely position in the heart of the historical center just beside the Castel. Enjoy the silence which may be interrupted only sometimes by children's laughing from the school yard (except the summer months)

Location and surroundings

The Umbrian landscape is characterized by medieval hill towns and pastoral countryside, medieval nooks and Romanesque churches. Discover Perugia, the region's capital, with the most beautiful italian medieval fountain and the Palazzo dei Priori, Assisi, the birthplace of Saint Francis, with the Basilica di San Francesco, frescoed by the artist Giotto, Spoleto, famous for its summer arts festival, Orvieto with its famous Cathedral, Todi, Gubbio, Norcia, Foligno, Montefalco or Bevagna, make a boat trip to an island of the Trasimeno Lake or visit the beautiful places surrounding it, like Castiglione del Lago, Tuoro, Passignano, San Feliciano etc.
You reach Siena with 1 hour car drive, Rome and Florence (200 km each) also by bus or train.

A-1 Milan – Rome, 100 km in the south of Florence go out at „Val di Chiana“, then SS75 direction Perugia, go out at „Magione“ turn right, then direction Chiusi for about 7 km, then direction Agello, inside Agello go to the top (ask for the Castello )or call me to come down and meet you!

   Die Wohnung von Claudia Acquah ist ideal für uns. Wir sind nun zum dritten mal über den Osterferien dort gewesen und wollen auch zurück kommen. Obwohl Agello ein ruhiges Dorf ist, kann man von dort aus ganz schnell Perugia und andere schöne Städte erreichen. Claudia ist die perfekte Gastgeberin. Sie ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit und hat viele Tipps für Ausflüge, Restaurants, Einkaufen usw. Die Küche ist hervorragend ausgestattet, der Garten ist groß und hat eine riesige Lorbeerbaum!
   Dieser Wohnung kann ich nur sehr gut empfehlen!

   Eine sehr komfortable Wohnung und obendrein geschmackvoll und kunstsinnig eingerichtet. bei der Konstruktion des Bades mit seinen großartigen Verspiegelungen muss ein begnadeter Innenarchitekt seine Hand im Spiel gehabt haben. ein großer Balkon mit Blick bis zum Trasimenischen See, ein traumhafter Garten mit einem riesigen Loorbeerbaum als - und das alles in bester Lage.
   
   Ein solches Juwel muss eine Seele haben, und diese hat einen Namen: Claudia Acquah ist eine erfrischend herzliche Gastgeberin

   Hier in Agello kann man es sich richtig gut gehen lassen! Die Ferienwohnung ist gross, die Lage ist Ideal und die Vermieterin ist sehr freundlich. Hier hat man einen atemberaubenden Blick auf die Berge und Lago Trasimeno. Kann man nur bestens empfehlen!

   This is really a great vacation spot if you like peace and quiet. There is a breathtaking view of Lake Trasimeno and the mountains from the balcony. The apartment is spacious and the landlady is very friendly. This is the 2nd time that we've rented here and we will return! There is so much to see and so much to do in Umbria! This is really a vacation of a lifetime!

   Zwei Wochen in Agello: Wir haben es sehr genossen! Schöne Räume, Licht, ein freundliches, wohnliches und gleichzeitig künstlerisch-modernes Ambiente - das alles wurde von einer herzlichen Begrüßung und Aufnahme im "Casa Agilla" umrahmt. Dolce far niente auf die schönste Weise... wunderbare Landschaft, Kunst, viele kulinarische Genüsse - wie schade, dass wir nicht bleiben konnten!

   This was one of our best experiences ever! First of all the wonderful landscapes, cities and villages of Umbria. Then Agello and the lovely stone house right on top of the hill, next to the church. We felt immediately at home, enjoyed the apartment lots. From the door step we picked up the vespas and visited Perugia and UmbriaJazz. We really felt like being part of the life here - it was fantastic! Not to forget, how close Lago Trasimeno is - a real jewel offering lots to see and experience.
   We'll be back soon!
