The houses

The vacation rental
La Cigüeña and El Conejo sleep 4 - 6 people and have under floor heating in all rooms. Each one has a large sitting-room, fireplace and kitchen. The bathroom is downstairs. A gallery room upstairs sleeps 4. A separate bedroom has a double bed and en suite bathroom.
Zoya sleeps 4 in 2 en suite bedrooms and has under floor heating. It has a good-sized sitting-room with a fireplace, comfortable sofa and chairs, with a dining area and kitchen.
El Aguila is suitable for a couple or a small family.
La Tortuga (available Feb.) will have two bedrooms, one double and one with two single beds, both en-suite, living room and kitchen, heating and fireplace.
El Buho sleeps two and has a bed-sitting room with a wood-burning stove. |

The surrounding area
A short walk takes you to the pretty village of Alájar with several interesting bars and restaurants. High above is la Peña de Arias Montano, a craggy cliff with a sixteenth century chapel on its peak.
Aracena, the main town is only twenty minutes along scenic roads. It boasts a fine thirteenth century Templar church and the Gruta de las Maravillas an impressive limestone cavern.
Spain's largest wildlife sanctuary anad a World Heritage Site, the Coto de Doñana National Park, is within reach. One of the last wild areas of Europe, visited by a great variety of migrating birds, and home to wild lynx.
Seville, the lively Andalusian capital, is accessible for daytrips as is Mérida, with its spectacular Roman ruins

Activities
The principal activity in this lovely rural area is walking along the many trails of different lengths, some of which begin right at the property. While walking, you can enjoy views of the countryside, as well as the unspoilt flora and fauna. There are plenty of places to stop for a picnic, or enjoy tapas in one of the villages.
