Bramble Cottage	The surrounding area Due to its central location, Bramble Cottage is an ideal base for touring, it also has many hidden gems on its own doorstep, less than 30 mins drive from Killeigh can be found Clonmacnoise, one of the many ancient Christian Monastic Settlements, adjacent to the River Shannon: the Slieve Bloom Mountains which are a haven for hill walkers and Loughboora Parklands a unique paradise for outdoor and wildlife enthusiasts. The parklands are a creative combination of nature and the human hand restoring the cut away bogs of West Offaly to its original ice-age splendour. Take a brief journey through the parklands by car, bike, on foot or canoe. Use the rifle range. Fishing facilities for disabled anglers. Feed the ducks and swans.
