Holiday destination Crete, Bay of Messara, Pitsidia
Stonehouse Villa Antigone is situated in the outskirts of the traditional Greek village Pitsidia with several tavernas, coffee shops, shops and the bakery all within easy walking distance. Music on the 'platia' on Tuesdays and Fridays. 4 km to the famous hippie village of Matala with its famous caves, the numerous taverns and caffes, countless shops and a lively nightlife.
The blue flagged beach has crystal clear water and all amenities you need. It is a nice 2 km stroll or 2 minutes car ride
Pitsidia is situated 70 km from Heraklion airport or the port of Heraklion.
Turn left at the cemetary, first left right before the restaurant Oneira/Traumfabrik. Turn first left after about 20 meter and drive for abour 100 meters, turn left after the field turn right after about 20 meters, Stonehouse Villa Antigone is to your right at the end of the cul-de-sac (last house).
Or rent your car at 'kri-kri!, they will pick you up free of charge at the airport if you rent for at least 1 week and drive you to the house. At the end of your holiday, they will of course drive you back to the airport.
This was a great place to stay with two teenage Children in a gorgeous Cretan village, which is very traditional and unspoilt. The local beaches are wonderful and there are many fascinating places to visit in the area, which is rish in history. The Children loved the nightlife in nearby Matala. My partner and I loved to chill out on the roof terrace of Villa Antigone which has beautiful views of the magical Psiloritis Mountains. A holiday to remember and we will be back.
Perfect family friendly house in a beautiful Cretan village

Our family of four spent the most delightful two weeks spanning the Easter holidays in this magical area of south Crete, thanks to the wonderfully appointed accomodation in Antigone Stonehouse. The house is situated in the very friendly village of Pitsidia and provided my husband and I and our two young children with all we required. Built just two years ago, this house has been beautifully equipped, decorated and furnished and provided us with the most comfortable of stays. Pitsidia is close to many lovely beaches, the old Roman harbour village of Matala close by as well as the ancient Minoan palace of Festos pretty much on the doorstep. The roof garden of Antigone looking to the magnificent Psiloritis mountains was a great bonus. We thoroughly recommend this holiday hideaway.

the Antigone house is a brand new house, only 1 year old. its a traditional stoned Cretan house. it has 2 bedrooms, ideal for families. and everything inside is new our children loved that there is big private garden and also that the roof garden has chairs for sunbath with a nice view, which I loved it. the house is distant from the village and is very quiet. but is not far from what the village offers. such as bakery or mini market etc. the village about 10 min from Matala beach and 5 - 6 from komos or kalamaki. and we loved it so much that we are going next year too.
