Holiday destination Butjadingen
The town of Burhave is located on the peninsula Butjadingen between the "Jadebusen" and the "Wesermündung" (Emerge of the Weser river into the northern sea). It's located in the national park mudflat.
The beach has an artificial created lagoon, which makes it possible to go swimming during high and even low tide.
Right close to the house (3km) is an idyllic old harbour in Fedderwardersiel. There you can buy fresh fish right from the sea, as well as taking a trip with the boat to see the lighting house, seal, islands of birds etc.
Also you can find a nature museum.
The peninsula is known for it's great wide green meadows and also network of road, which offers nice biking trails.
Bike rental places are easy to find. If the weather happens to be not so good you can enjoy a fun afternoon in the close indoor pool.
