The nearly 400 year old house has been sensitively developed and expanded into a comfortable holiday home with historic features and beautiful slate roof and charming dormers A historic bakery from 1822 is on site with functioning stone oven for baking bread, cakes, or pizza as well as a water fountain from the 17th century.
The small village Oberöfflingen in the Eifel region lies 500 meters above sea level. It is situated between Manderscheid and the Cistercian monastery Himmerod from the 12th century, and surrounded by forests, orchards, and springs with streams feeding into the river Lieser. The surrounding countryside is beautiful and offers a range of attractions, including well-known hiking trails such as the Eifelsteig or the Lieserpfad from Daun to Wittlich, leadingto the beautiful Mosel River, as well as the cycle path from Maare to the Mosel River. At the end of the hiking trail Lieserpfad, near the village Maring-Noviand, you can visit the historic monastery of Siebenborn with its beautiful Arthur Melsheimer vineyard – a prime destination for any hike or bike tour.
