In the golden center of the Dachstein-Tauern region is the dreamy little village Öblarn, fenced all around by the mountain world - where everyone knows everyone else, where a friendly greeting is given on the street and a few words are exchanged. You are well catered for by a well-stocked supermarket and a bakery in which everything is home-made. There is a tobacco shop, a nice organic shop with regional products from the farmers, a café, a very good restaurant and several bars to end the evening with the locals. Your hostess will inform you about hiking tips in summer and the most beautiful ski slopes in winter. The highest, secluded mountain in Europe, the Grimming, is at your feet. There is a beautiful swimming pool in town and the beautiful lakes to linger and swim are 15 minutes and 30 minutes away, respectively. Two golf courses can each be reached in approx. 15 minutes. We are particularly ideal for ski tourism:
The Schladminger Skischaukel is 15 minutes away, and the quieter Schneebeerenland is just as far in the opposite direction, where you can enjoy a multitude of slopes together with children.
