Our feel-good farmhouse, awarded 3 stars, lies on the high plateau of Ramsau am Dachstein in thedisctrict of Vorberg. We offer our guests an unforgettable home away from home, providing the young and young at heart with days full of adventure in the midst of Austria’s green heart.
Hiking trails, bridle paths and mountain bike tracks lead right past the Vorberghof. Shops,
restaurants, bakery and the Leisure Centre are just 4 km away in the resort centre of Ramsau am Dachstein. In the winter the Vorberghof offers direct access to the World Cup cross country trail used by the Nordic Ski World Championships in 1999. The bus stop for the ski bus transporting you to the Ramsau ski area with Kali’s adventure pistes and to the 4-mountain ski circuit Planai in the Ski amadé is just 5 minutes walk away. In summer you can use the cable cars, toll roads, buses and swimming pools in the area free of charge with the “Sommercard”.
Our farmhouse with its typical Austrian alpine charm is surrounded by colourful meadows, boasts a splendid panoramic view of the mountains and is a real oasis of peace and tranquillity, far away from the hustle and bustle and noisy roads. Our light and airy, family-friendly rooms and one apartment with fully-equipped kitchen offer plenty of space for the whole family to feel right at home. All spacious non-smoking rooms are equipped with shower, WC, satellite TV, Wi-Fi and a balcony with a fabulous view of the majestic Dachstein mountain range. In our cosy apartment you’ll find a double room with a separate bathroom and WC plus a sitting area offering space for jolly family get-togethers in the evening. Guests staying in our apartment can book our morning fresh bread roll delivery service. Our sumptuous breakfast buffet with produce from local farms sets you in good stead for the active day ahead.
Here at the Vorberghof the wishes of our youngest guests are heard loud and clear: our farm pets such as rabbits, goats, cats, ponies and pot-bellied pigs are adored by children of all ages, they just love being stroked and enjoyed all the hands-on attention. Inquisitive children can watch us work on the farm or even help out in the stables. A ride with the ponies through the forest is free of charge for all children in summer.
In winter the perfect pistes of the Ramsau and Ski amadé areas beckon winter sports enthusiasts. Additional activities such as curling, tandem flights, snowshoe walks, tobogganing, cross country skiing and winter hikes are also available. A special treat is a romantic horse-drawn sleigh ride with the farm owner through the deep-snowy winter wonderland around Ramsau am Dachstein.
In summer you can savour colourful blooming meadows, clear mountain lakes and stops at alpine inns and rustic mountain huts for a hearty Ramsau snack platter. Cable cars, mountain bike tours, the summer toboggan run are just a few of the activities available in the Styrian Schladming- Dachstein holiday region.
