Amazing location and quite frankly there is no other holiday villa on the cote d'Azur quite like it. It is unique in being a riad in France.
A charming small courtyard with fountain leads to a huge open sitting room with cream linen sofas and fireplace. This room has the wow factor- everyone is totally captivated by the huge window/doors leading to the main terrace overlooking the sea.
The kitchen is open plan onto the sitting room and dining room .It is a well equipped kitchen with every convenience- oven, induction hob with large selection of good pans, water filter, juicer, coffee machine, kettle, toaster and lots of crockery, cutlery, cooking utensils, table mats etc.
There is an indoor dining table with 8 chairs but summer months make dining on either the upper terrace with a large stone table for 10 people or a separate round table for 4 very convivial. This is under a shady pergola and has amazing views to the sea. Downstairs near the pool is another shady pergola with seating for 10 next to the built in barbecue.
There are four double bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms. The master double bedroom upstairs is huge and luxurious. It has its own private sunbathing terrace with spectacular view of the sea and a rather wonderful bathroom with silver wash basins, a large bath tub and a separate walk in Italian shower with polished plaster walls.
The 2 double bedrooms downstairs have French doors opening to the pool and terrace and each have there own stylish bathrooms with showers and loos.
There is a twin bedded room on the ground floor with charming shower room loo and wash basin. A separate studio flat has double bed and shower room and is more suited to a nanny or older children.
All rooms in the main house have air-conditioning. There is a separate steam hamman in the main house fully tiled in navy blue.
There is a garage and small guardians house outside the villa within its gated walls for the housekeeper providing additional security but completely unobtrusive
All the above- ease of access to everything and yet everything provided at the villa should you wish to retreat.
The pool being heated is blissfully warm and so inviting ! Its a lovely place to come to out of season as well as the excitement of the summer months.
From early April the sun shines warmly and the sea starts to beckon. Autumn equally is bathed in golden sunshine and doesn't suffer from the wind that can prevail in other areas of Provence. July and August are always busy but that's the fun too!
The beach becomes lively and superb for people watching! Everything is gentle here and blissfully warm.
The holiday villa has a lovely open fireplace for colder nights in November onwards and protected enough to still be able to eat on the terrace outside. This is a very special villa all year round.
Its near enough to travel to Cannes and Monaco and inland to beautiful Provencal villages. Truly a magical place.
