This holiday accommodation is on a hill above the long sandy beaches of Pescoluse, also called Maldive del Salento, nestled into a large, private olive grove. The view of the sea and the beautiful sunsets is unique. The location is particularly quiet and also airy, even at the height of summer. It is about five minutes by car to the beaches. There is no noise in the area, such as bars, pizzerias, traffic jams, mopeds and passers-by, which is unusual Italy near the sea. Pescoluse is between Gallipoli and Santa Maria di Leuca, the southernmost point of the heel of the boot by the Ionian Sea.
The living space of around 35m² inside the centuries-old building provides a living room with a sleeping area above it on a wooden gallery under the characteristic stone dome. The 40m² outdoor area provides an open, roofed summer kitchen with a dining space, a bathroom and a large parking area. The living room has a TV corner with satellite TV, and two pull-out double sofa beds and an armchair bed for one person. Wooden stairs lead to the sleeping area on the wooden gallery with a double bed (160 x 190cm), just under the atmospheric stone dome. Outside under the shade of roofing there is the kitchen with a dining space and the adjoining bathroom. The kitchen includes a gas hob, a fridge with a freezer compartment, an espresso pot, a filter coffee machine, a microwave and a toaster. Next to the kitchen there is the dining space with a table and chairs. The bathroom next to it is fitted with a WC, a bidet, a washbasin, a shower cubicle and a washing machine. According to law, the bathroom had to be built outside. The whole outdoor area is well illuminated at night. Solar panels supply plenty of hot water.
The buildings and the installations comply with safety regulations and there is no danger with normal use of the household appliances and other amenities. Bed linen and towels are provided and the price includes a weekly change. Pets are welcome free of charge. A cot and a highchair can be supplied free of charge on request. The owner can also try to provide other equipment for children if possible. You can use an Internet connection in the beach facility at Pescoluse about 1.7k away, or at the tourist information office in Torre Vado. In front of the trullo there is a large outdoor area paved with typical pietra leccese. A table, chairs and loungers invite you to relax, sunbathe and play. The private site measures 8000m², so you, your children and pets can enjoy plenty of freedom. A convenient outdoor shower, plenty of parking space and a large stone grill are also provided. You can enjoy a wonderful panoramic view of the fabulous surrounding Salento area and the crystal blue sea, especially from the accessible roof of the trullo.
The Salento trulli are part of the traditional landscape and are now listed. This trullo is a stately building that was restored carefully in 2013, observing tradition, as a building that was typically used in the past as a shed or as accommodation of farmers at certain times of year. The old, thick stone walls provide natural insulation from outdoor temperatures in winter as well as summer. The trulli are old buildings with charm, which bring together tradition and modernity. They provide accommodation for those you love peace and quiet, with good taste and a strong wish for originality. They are ideal for those who love something special, with an atmosphere of past times, whilst still enjoying modern comfort and a beautiful view of the light blue sea and the typical Salento landscape.
