A marvelously well-lit duplex apartment in an old building at the old fishing port of Imperia Oneglia, directly above the arcades of the restaurant and bar precinct overlooking the fishing boats and yachts. The apartment is located on the 4. floor and can be accessed through a typical Ligurian slate staircase. The floor is made of beautiful wooden planks which remind one of the ship floors. At the entrance to the building, the guest will find the two big bedrooms with one double bed each on the left-hand side, and the big bathroom fitted with a bath-tub is on the opposite side. The same floor also gives access to the kitchen-cum-living-room which contains a cozy sofa-corner, a big dining table and a kitchenette. With the help of a wooden ladder with open steps another couple can find a place to sleep in up in the gallery which has two light dormers in the sleeping area. There is another small bathroom built in up there under the slanted roof and it has a shower in the corner. The apartment is particularly suitable for those who love town life. One can buy fresh fish and foodstuffs from the weekly market and fish hall located just around the corner, and also take a walk from there to explore the old town. The nearest beaches can be reached on foot (the rocky beach in Oneglia or the sandy beach in Diano Marina in approx. 20 minutes by foot) and by bus (the sandy beach in Porto Maurizio). Enjoy the lively alleys and festivals which Imperia has to offer, and don’t forget to visit
the olive museum found there – a must for all lovers of Ligurian olive oil.
