Beautiful in the Summer

We were lucky enough to stay in Haus Wandelhorn for a week in late June 2006. It was a wonderful place to stay, with many opportunities for hiking and sightseeing within a short drive. In close proximity were Reichenbach Falls, the Aareschlucht, Trift Glacier, with its terrific suspension bridge, and the lift in Reuti that went both up the mountain to hiking trails and skiing and down the mountain to Meiringen.
Josef and Eva were the most hospitable hosts one could ask for (their apartment adjoined this one). They provided local information and helped us navigate the Swiss medical system when our daughter came down with pinkeye. It is a place that we hope to return some day. |
