Holiday in Liguria
The Mediterranean Sea has many beautiful coastal areas, but there are only a few that are as wonderful as the Ligurian Coast which is also called Riviera dei Fiori (Flower Riviera). In the west, the Ligurian Coast borders the famous French Riviera, in the east Tuscany. Liguria has all advantages of both regions, a holiday in an apartment in Imperia or the traditional seaside resort Sanremo will leave nothing to be desired.
Capital of Liguria is the old seaport Genoa that is worth a city trip, particularly thanks to its beautiful historic city. East of Liguria, there is the Cinque Terre National Park whose five villages are among the most picturesque villages in Europe - it will be difficult to find a better hike than the one from Monteroso to Riomaggiore. It is especially recommended to book a holiday apartment in La Spezia or Bonassola.
Steep coasts and beaches, Mediterranean as well as alpine, this mixture makes Liguria a unique place on earth.
