The chalets have generous living space and sit apart. The 4-person units are a little larger, some with jacuzzi. That is why the 4- and 6-person units have the same weekly price. They are fully equipped with living room with TV, kitchen area with oven, fridge, microwave, etc. Bathroom with shower. Electric heating throughout. The price includes towels, linen and normal cleaning. Electricity is metered. Washing machines and tumble driers (only the basic electricity costs are charged) are available in a new, airy building which also offers a games room with table tennis, snooker and toilet.

The surrounding area
The chalets are beautifully situated beside an active "croft" - traditional scottish farm - between mountain and ocean, on the banks of the River Elg.
Highland cattle and sheep belonging to your hosts graze on the surrounding fields, and there are several other smallholdings also in the sheltered valley. The main Village of Glenelg is at the mouth of the valley, on the coast of the Atlantic just across from the Isle of Skye.
There is a ferry during the summer months from the nearby village of Kylerhea. It's only a 5-minute crossing!
In the village there is a grocer's shop, a modern medical centre, a church and a hotel with restaurant and friendly bar. Supermarkets are to be found in Kyle.

Activities
Fishing permits are available for the River Elg. Angling is also available without a permit from the cliffs and beaches, or for brown trout in the many local hill lochs. Sea angling trips are available from Kyle.
