The apartment is a recently restructured attic consisting of bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and living room (with comfortable bed-settee).Simply, but tastefully decorated, with tiled floors and wooden beams, it is completely self-contained with its own large terrace for eating, sunbathing or admiring the view. There's a staircase from the garden, where where in the summer you can cool off in an attractive small pool with waterfall.
The local station of Pianabella is only 4km away, where regular trains run to Rome - so avoiding parking and traffic problems in the city.
We have our own olive trees and vineyard, and sell wine, oil and other local produce.

The area is famous for its olive oil, cherries, peaches and apricots, and this is reflected in the countryside. The nearest village is 4 km away, situated on a hillside with lovely views over the plain. Nearby are the "Terme di Cretone", a sulphur water spa surrounded by green, with three outdoor swimming pools, beauty treatments, caffe and restaurant.
The beautiful medieval town of Palombara. perched on a hilltop at the foot of Monte Gennaro ( 1278m), offers a chance to discover the real Italy - narrow winding streets, local festivals and a fascinating castle.The mountains behind the town form a regional park, ideal for walking and birdwatching.
A little further afield is Tivoli, with its wonderful villas and waterfalls.

Travel information
Take the Salaria road out of Rome towards Rieti. At km 29 turn right for Palombara Sabina. On this road at km 4.5 Villa Elsa is the green gate on the right, on the corner of Via dei Marsi.
From Fiumicino airport get the train for Fara Sabina or Orte, and get off at Pianabella di Montelibretti.
