Villa Jardim is located in a small village of Loreto in Arco da Calheta.
The Calheta area has in recent years opened up to tourism due to the new network of tunnels and motorways, also the new and only sandy beach 4 minutes away from the house.
Close to the village you have the start of many popular levada walks.
The Arco da Calheta (Arc of Calheta) is like a large amphitheater of mountain in a curve sweeping down to the sea. The Miradouro (viewpoint) a few minutes above the village by car is a favourite launch pad for hang gliders and para gliders soaring around on hot air currents.
