The farmhouse holiday accommodation "La Mezzeria" takes its name from an ancient contract called "Mezzeria, Mezzadria, Masseria or Colonia renting" in which the land owner gave over the land for cultivation in return for a half-share in the yield.
The rural life of the "mezzadro" was certainly hard, but it was also rich in customs and values which have been an important and constant reference point in the renovation of the stone country house and the small adjacent structures.
In creating the three apartments for farmhouse holiday accommodation, I have tried to maintain the architectural characteristics typical of the Tuscan farmhouse, respecting the character of the interiors and using original materials.....
The surrounding area
The area surrounding the farmhouse offers numerous trails and routes for those keen on jogging, trekking and mountain bike riding - the most attractive of these being within the Montioni Natural Park.
History and culture lovers can choose between the Archaeological Park of Baratti (15 km away, here you can visit the remains of Populonia - ancient Etruscan city by the sea), the San Silvestro Archaeological Mines Park (10 km away, where you can admire the perfectly conserved medieval mining village) or the nearby historic towns and cities.
Those who want to rest and relax can enjoy the thermal lake, the Calidario (12 km) fed by a hot spring of sulphurous water at a constant temperature of 37°C....

By Road: from Grosseto and Livorno by the Aurelia superstrada, exit at Venturina and proceed for Suvereto (8 km).
