The spacious main house has 2 bedrooms, a large and bright lounge/dining room and a fully equipped kitchen. There is a nice terrace in front of the house with barbecue where you can have breakfast or just sit in the sun and relax. You can also use our roofterrace upstairs for sunbaths. The stunning houseviews are to the west, over citrusorchards and the hills of the hinterland where you can watch the most beautyful sunsets.
Casa Amoreira is ideal for families with children (no traffic nearby!) but also very spacious and comfortable for couples. It is the perfect spot from which to explore the beaches and Ria Formosa Park of the eastern algarve -beaches here are all white sand, very long, largely empty and the water is warmest in Portugal.
The surrounding area
Although so calm and rural, the house is central and ideal located for any trips to the surrounded area. You should visit the charming historic town of Tavira, the typical fisher town Olhao (best fish market) and the wonderful unspoiled hinterland. Our coast here is called Ria Formosa which is a protected area of the eastern Algarve, it is a large system of tidal lagoons and the most beautiful beaches of Europe. Nearest beach from Casa Amoreira is Praia Barril in Pedras del Rei (5 min drive) or Ilha Armona in Fuzeta (10 min drive) and Ilha de Tavira (10 min drive). Next village is Luz de Tavira, 2km, with small market, shops, bank, post office, restaurant, pharmacy and health center.
Nearest airport is Faro (30 min drive away).
