A further 5 mins. drive is the lively village of Montcuq. The sunday market is one of the top 100 markets in France for ambiance. Montcuq is a very popular village with many fêtes and musical evenings and the Bastille day spectacle is seen on t.v. througout France !! The surrounding area is a delight and quite a special part of SW France, with beautifully restored bastide hilltop villages, small farms and white limestone houses against azure blue skies.
