Frutigen is situated on the Berne-Lötschberg-Brig-Domodossola rail route at 800 m above sea level, and is a large, centrally located mountain village offering shopping facilities. The well-known locations of Kandersteg, Adelboden and Interlaken are all within a 20-minute drive. Frutigen is an ideal hiking area. Skiing: Frutigen-Elsigenalp, Adelboden/Lenk, Kandersteg.

Travel information
Motorway Bern-Thun-Spiez. Before the Spiez motorway intersection, get into lane for Kandersteg/Adelboden/Frutigen. Follow the road to Frutigen. At the Frutigen exit, turn off left (following the white sign marked "Kanderbrück"), continue for about 100 m, then take a right (following the sign marked "Kanderbrück") until you reach a crossroads, take a sharp right into Isliweg.
