The house is in Oterleek a small village near the big town Alkmaar with the great footballlclub AZ.
In Alkaar you can find the cheese market and it is 15 kilometers from the sea.
You can cycle in the surroundings.
You can visit by car or bike the zuiderzeemuseum and go to Volendam Marken, Monnikkendam and Zaanse schans, Broeker veiling and go on.
Even Amsterdam is only half an hour from Oterleek by car.
