This is an opportunity for nature lovers who want to spend relaxing holidays in contact with sea, forests, mountains, lakes, animals and flowers in Parco Nazionale del Gargano, Apulia, on the Adriatic coast in the south of Italy.
Apulia is famous for being the place where the sound of the sea and the wind are coupled with the unique, breathtaking panorama of Gargano promontory.
Here in the heart of Apulia you’ll find Peschici, one of the most suggestive little villages of the coast. In its antique centre there is Casa Eloise, a small independent apartment on the first floor of a house recently renovated.
Apart from the dogs barking, children playing around and women chatting and singing, you would not hear a noise while staying at Casa Eloise, because it is beautifully located in a narrow, silent alley in the pedestrian area, near “Piazza” and “Castello”, the heart of the old village.
It is an independent apartment of 65 m2, fully air-conditioned, consisting of a living room with dining area and open kitchen ( 4 burners, oven, big fridge with freezer), sofa bed, satTV, one double bedroom, one bedroom with bunk beds, bathroom with shower and washing machine. Four people can sleep in the apartment. From Casa Eloise, through a staircase, you can reach a private sea view terrace where you can have your meals, and the solarium at the top of the house shared with the guests of Casa Michelle, which is the same owner’s (see ref. 4418).

The surrounding area
The village Peschici is the "gem" of Gargano, a promontory, the heel of the Italian boot, on the Adriatic coast in South Italy. Peschici is built on a rock rising straight from the sea and dates back to 950 A.D. Peschici itself is a cumulous of white low houses, scattered against the rock. From afar you are dazzled by the white houses in the sun; at night the village looks like a "crib". Many famous artists painted the bluish-green sea, the blue sky, the green pines leaning over the water and the white houses. At the foot of Peschici is a white sandy bay and, if you hire a boat, you can discover lovely romantic little beaches.Excursion boats take you to caves and "grotte". Gargano is a 120.000 hectares National Park with forests, lagoons, marine reserves and mountains rich of mushrooms in autumn and wild asparagus in spring. At 60 km from Peschici is the town of San Giovanni Rotondo, where Padre Pio lived. He was declared saint by Pope Giovanni Paolo ii in 2002. The sanctuary and the new church, built by the architect Renzo Piano, attract millions of pilgrims every year.In front of Peschici are the Tremiti islands, quite an unspoilt area with a small local community. It has wonderful beaches and is a paradise for divers.Apulia has a lot to offer, you need more than one week to visit "Trulli" in Alberobello, Grotte di Castellana, Castel del Monte, Lecce and its baroque, "Sassi di Matera". And why not visit Naples which by autostrada is 3 hours drive?
