The surrounding area
Our village Langweiler is called a hot tip (Dumont: Trekking in the Hunsrück) and is situated in the very pretty and healthy Hunsrueck highlands (600 metres), near the German gemstone road and nearby Germany's gemstone centre Idar-Oberstein.
Langweiler offers best opportunities for trekking, riding, mountain-biking and plenty of further acitivities in the nature. We are situated between the winter sport centres Erbeskopf (818 m) and Idarkopf with ski pistes, cross-country skiing and toboggan runs.
The nearby wine-growing regions Moselle and Nahe can be reached in 30 minutes.
