The House by the Forest is very apt for families as well as senior citizens and ideal for family, experience and activity holidays.

The surrounding area

Our village Langweiler is called a hot tip (Dumont: Trekking in the Hunsrück) and is situated in the very pretty and healthy Hunsrueck highlands (600 metres), near the German gemstone road and nearby Germany's gemstone centre Idar-Oberstein.

Langweiler offers best opportunities for trekking, riding, mountain-biking and plenty of further acitivities in the nature. We are situated between the winter sport centres Erbeskopf (818 m) and Idarkopf with ski pistes, cross-country skiing and toboggan runs, incl. a summer toboggan run.

The nearby wine-growing regions Moselle and Nahe can be reached in 30 minutes.
