Casa Respingadora is situated on the Azores in the Atlantic Ocean. The house faces west and the unobstructed sunsets are beautiful. The patio is on the front of the house facing the sea. The kitchen window is to the east, where you can see the waterfalls behind the village. It is a very quiet and peaceful setting on a large lot. The house is furnished and has most of the items a house should have such as sheets, towels, dishes, pans, ect. A high open beam cieling makes a small house feel large. Sleeping for up to four adults. Solar power runs the 12 volt lights and a quiet Honda generator is on site also. The stove and hot water are butane, which is included.

The surrounding area
Flores Island is the most beautiful in
the Azores. There is hiking, crater lakes with trout fishing, ocean fishing and diving, and the larger villages of Santa Cruz (airport and car rentals) and Lajes. In our village of Faja Grande, we have a public beach with a childrens playground and swimming pool. There is a nice resturant at the beach area with a relaxing patio and wonderful views. The people in the village are friendly and always helpful. There are many festivals in the summers in the Faja Grande and other villages. That means food, beverage, and dancing. Right in front of the house are some of the best spots to fish.
