100 m below the house meanders the Levada de Pornais, on which you can stroll to the centre of town, with a constant beautiful view of the sea. Or take the other direction, heading for jagged ravine and the abandoned village of Faja.
Bus stops for 5 city bus routes are within a 10 minute walking distance. Praja Formosa – a bathing bay with a sandy beach – can be reached within ca. 15-20 minutes.
